Kreivilä retreat 2025

Led by Jussi Penttinen and Sampsa Korhonen
Theme: ‘Unity in Silence’
The retreat introduces the self-investigation method and includes relaxation, presence and meditation exercises for the Joy of Being. We emphasize the importance of silence, creating balance and peace. We also learn about the Course of Miracles, the teachings of Jesus in Aramaic, and experience inner peace amidst the beauty of the natural peace of the Kreivilä course center’s summer camp.
Kreivilä is located 130 km from Helsinki, 100 km from Turku and 70 km from Tampere on a plot of land dating back to the early 16th century. The old manor building dates back to the 1860s. The vegetarian kitchen at the place has received a lot of admiration. The food is made on site and partly from ingredients from the own vegetable garden. In midsummer, nature is at its best in Finland, including the peaceful Matkunjärvi lake with its swimming spots.

I have one question above all others and that is ‘who am I?’ I have found a self-inquiry exercise for that, which Sri Ramana Maharshi has brought to our time. Furthermore, after getting to know the teachings of Jesus through his own mother tongue, Aramaic, his words opened up to me in a completely new way.
These are two themes that I want to talk about and discuss in our summer retreat. In addition to fruitful discussion, practical exercises enable a unique shared experience. The source of everything is silence, which according to Sri Ramana is our true nature.

I am a mental coaching professional and a long-time inner growth coach. For over 33 years, my work has been at the core of supporting the growth of consciousness – bringing out deep insights, presence and inner peace beyond the analysis of the ego mind and the mental burden.
All the techniques I teach are essentially tools that help us to be rooted in the present moment and face what is truly true. They call forth the calm and stillness that is already present in all of us.
In the summer retreat, we will create a space together where the growth of consciousness, peace and stillness can manifest and change lives from within. This all stems from deep presence. I will also open up the spiritual growth teachings of A Course in Miracles, such as forgiveness, which in the IOK is largely seen as ”undoing experiences stored in the mind.” This section complements Jussi’s theme of the Aramean Jesus.
